Reflective Journal 3: Life On Land
These activities are endangered animals
Logging is one of the human activities that destroyed the forest. Trees being cut down excessively and widely. They did not care about the effects and circumstances after that. The impacts of deforestation are gone bewildered. The climate has changed since many trees were cut down. The forests store the carbon dioxide and release it when they were cut down. It harms the human and affects the greenhouse, consequently causing the planet to become warmer than it would be naturally; global warming. The temperature keeps increasing. The icebergs and glaciers in the north are melting. Other disasters such as drought, floods and storms have worsened. Other than that, the human also poaching animals. Human skins them alive to get the precious beak, feather and skin. Many animals were killed every day just for human's selfishness. This is unfair for animals they can't speak up about their right. Their right was violated.
This is Dodo. This species is already extinct. While this black rhino is nearly extinct.
Dodo is already extinct and Our generation is not able to see this species. We can only see it in the textbook or the internet. We can't see in front of our eyes. On the other hand, the black rhino is one of the nearly extinct animals due to the high rate of poaching. The hunters hunt for its horn. The horn becomes a demand in Asian countries; China, Vietnam. Commonly, it is used for medical purpose in China. While, in other countries, it symbolizes wealth as the price is high. The hunters or dealers will get high pay from the trade. It is our fault because we do not sustain nature. We let the ungrateful human ruin the diverse fauna. The greediness and obsession take over this precious environment and wealth. Nothing left but regret. Nothing good comes with this behaviour.
SDG fifteenth is Life on Land. The UN has set the goal to protect the animal, forest to sustain the environment. The UN has the target to fight desertification by 2030, restore degraded land and soil, including land impacted by desertification, drought, and floods, and work toward a world free of land degradation. Besides, ensure that mountain habitats, including their biodiversity, are conserved to improve their ability to provide benefits that are essential for long-term growth. One of the principles of SDG is the planet. We must take of nature. To provide a better future for the next generation. If we consume all the natural resources, there's nothing left for our lineage. We have to be responsible for every action we made.
Islam has refrained human beings from demolishing the forest and destroying nature. Even in our prophet era, the soldier should not destroy the trees, plant and building in the war. Sejahtera concept has been applied in life. This concept ensures our life is harmonious and peaceful. Sejahtera lead our life to become more systematic
We need to solve all the problems that we made. We should play a crucial part to recover the earth. The earth is sick. How much longer we need to wait for others to participate in the mission to save our planet. We should take the initial step to encourage others to follow our step.
1. Replanting
We need to replanting the trees to cover the trees that were cut down. We need trees to store the carbon dioxide that was released into the atmosphere.
2. Give compound
The government should give a compound who trespassing the forest without a permit. The behaviour of trespassing is illegal.
I hope my sharing is useful for you. See you again in the next post.
